Brentford are showing an interest in Royals defender Kaspars Gorkss.

According to Brentford’s local paper, Hounslow Chronicle, representatives from the League One side were present at Reading’s friendly loss at Bristol Rovers on Sunday, to observe the defender.

Gorkss is believed to be in Nigel Adkins’ first team plans, but is still fourth choice centre-half at the Madejski Stadium. However, it is unknown whether the Latvian captain would make the drop to the third tier of English football.

I’m not sure that Gorkss fits in too well with Adkins’ style of play, so despite what a great servant he has been in his short time at the club, moving on could be the best move for both parties.
