Reading beat Liverpool?s long standing run of thirty games unbeaten in the second tier of English football at Crewe today, but the boss says he is paying no attention to runs.

The Royals bettered Liverpool?s record by one as they beat Crewe Alexandra 4-3 at the Alexandra Stadium this afternoon, the boss does admit however, that it has given his side inner belief.

The gap is once again ten points between Reading and Sheffield United, but Neil Warnock?s men play on Monday evening.

Coppell said: ‘We’ve got no interest in the run, we just want to win football games.

‘The most important thing is that when you go a goal down, you don’t panic because you know over the course of the 90-odd minutes you are going to get chances and it’s a question of whether you take them.

‘On the day we did. There might be another day that we don’t but we will try to delay that for as long as possible.

‘I don’t bother looking at the table because it suits me personally in my preparation for the next game.

‘If we keep winning games and keep accumulating points, it’s going to be hard for others but it is not about looking at anyone else.

‘If we look at ourselves, make demands of ourselves and judge ourselves and let everyone else take care of themselves, we can’t go wrong.’

Norwich City are the visitors to the Mad Stad tonight and Nigel Worthington will be hoping his side can pull off a shock result and put the Canaries back on the winning track.
