Reading return home on the back of their first loss in nine games while Birmingham visit the Madejski Stadium after a credible 2-2 draw against Club Brugge in the Europa League on Thursday.
Reading manager Brian McDermott – ‘We’ve discussed it as a group, we need to turn the draws into wins. In nine games we’ve lost one but we have drawn too many. It’s a similar scenario to last season, and we need to turn the draws into victories.’
Birmingham boss Chris Hughton – ‘I saw Reading play in midweek against Forest and I certainly think they deserved to get something out of the game. They are well-drilled with a great work ethic and a good manager and if I look at their league position they’ve probably suffered from the amount of draws that they’ve had.’
Reading Team News:
Brian McDermott has a full squad to choose from after no new injury worries ahead of this game. Jimmy Kebe could start his first game in a month for the Royals.
