Big Match Preparations Are The Same

Reading might only be one win away from certain promotion but the build up to the game will be like any other.

A win and the Royals are mathematically up no matter what the other sides do but preparations for what could be the biggest game in Reading?s history have been as any other game would be.

First-team coach Kevin Dillon has got the job this week of putting the team through their training and build up regime and keeping the players feet firmly on the ground until the remaining points needed are got.

‘We are treating this game exactly the same as we did the first of the season,’ Dillon said.

‘Players like routine, and at this moment it’s purely about routine. We will train Monday and Tuesday, day off Wednesday, a training match Thursday, and set pieces and travel on Friday – as normal.’
