Goals from Gary Gardner and Lukas Jutkiewicz secured victory for Birmingham as they beat Reading 2-1.

The hosts make it ten games unbeaten in the Championship now as those second half strikes ensured victory for the Blues, despite a late consolation from Yakou Meite.

The Royals conceded yet again from an uncleared set piece as Michael Morrison headed down a corner which fell into the path of Gary Gardner who tucked the ball home. The second came from a cross that Jutkiewicz headed the ball across the keeper and into the net. Meite netted one in added time as he looped his shot over the keeper but Birmingham saw the game out for victory. Reading could perhaps have felt hard done by as they felt they could of perhaps earned a point with this performance.

A big win at Millwall is followed up by another defeat on the road. Reading just can’t seem to get any consistency in their results which is proving for a troubling time. That result sees Paul Clement’s side slip back down to one place outside the relegation zone, and back to square one.
