Reading continued their unbeaten run with a great victory at Barnsley on Saturday.

The first was the best since this time last year with quick passing and some wonderful moves.

Reading took the lead after Mccleary tapped in a rebound after his penalty was saved.

John swift then made it two with a scorcher to put Reading in control.

The game then changed just before half time as Mccleary reacted to a bad tackle on Williams by pushing the Barnsley captain resulting in him being sent off.

It was always going to be a tough second half but reading showed another side of their game by defending immensely.

Adam Armstrong made it 2-1 with 10 minutes remaining but it wasn’t enough to beat a resolute royals back line.

It was a performance to remember for jaap Stams men and a great result against high flying Barnsley.
