How did Steve Coppell and Simon Davey react after Reading’s 1-0 win over Barnsley at Oakwell on Saturday? Lets take a look.

Reading manager Steve Coppell felt his side were fortunate to gain the win, and if they keep having players sent off this luck will run out: ‘We’ve been fortunate. We went down to 10 men in our last away game and we can’t keep doing that,’ Coppell told BBC Sport. ‘With the sending-off, the centre-half tried to claim some ground and my player responded by pushing him away so it was a nothing situation. That’s no defence because you can’t raise your hands but we know what we think and we’ll keep our thoughts to ourselves.’

Barnsley manager Simon Davey was clearly disappointed at the defeat but credited the visitors for taking the chance that presented itself: ‘It’s very disappointing. We couldn’t break them down but credit to Reading because we gave them a chance to score and they took it,’ Davey also told BBC Sport.
