Chris Armstrong has continued his comeback from injury by playing 90 minutes for the reserves in a 2-0 defeat against QPR. He played 60 minutes last week in a similar behind closed doors friendly, and stepped up his progress even further with this game.
Ivar Ingimarsson also featured but could only manage just over an hour, and appears to be slightly behind Armstrong in his recovery from a hamstring injury.
The rest of the Royals side was fairly inexperienced, with Jake Taylor and Nicholas Bignall the better know names.
QPR ran out 2-0 winners and included the likes of Rowan Vine, Martin Rowlands and Gary Borrowdale in their side.
